Yoga and meditation are cousins, both with roots in ancient India, and fit well together as complementary practices. Just as there are many types of yoga, there are many types of meditation, each with a unique focus and flavor. Zazen is the core practice in Zen Buddhism, a school of Buddhism that traces its origins back to the historical Buddha who dedicated himself exclusively to zazen for six years before his great enlightenment.
This class includes two 25 minute rounds of zazen with kinhin (walking meditation). A brief teaching will be read during the first round and individual instruction (daisan) will be available during the second round.
This is a donation class.
