Explore the Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series through this 3 part workshop . The first session will focus on transitions linking the postures of the Primary Series including how the breath comes into play, jumping forward, back and through, and the various exits from the main postures. The second session will play with alternative postures to some of the more advanced or strenuous postures and inversions, giving students some tools to customize their practice in the final workshop where we will flow through the Primary Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. No previous experience with Ashtanga is necessary, but some previous yoga experience is highly recommended. As the students are guided through the Primary Series, minimal detailed instruction will be given, allowing students the opportunity to drop deeply into the meditative quality of their own breath.
